This privacy policy describes how Aryan (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the GestrTube browser extension for Google Chrome.
Contact: aryansharma31658@gmail.com
The extension lets you use hand gestures (detected from your device camera when you turn the feature on) to scroll web pages and to move between videos on YouTube Shorts. Gesture recognition runs on your device using software bundled inside the extension.
We do not operate a backend service for this extension. We do not collect, store, or have access to your browsing history, full page contents, or camera video. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
The extension may access your camera only after you enable gestures and grant the browser’s camera permission. Video is processed locally in real time for gesture detection. We do not receive copies of your camera feed.
The extension may store only your settings (for example, whether gesture control is turned on) using Chrome’s extension storage on your device. This data stays on your device unless you sync or back up your browser through Google’s own features, which is outside our control.
The extension’s popup may request fonts from Google Fonts when you open it. That request is subject to Google’s privacy policy. The core gesture and scrolling functionality does not depend on sending your camera data to us or to those font servers.
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy when the extension changes. The “Last updated” year will be revised when material changes are made.
